Magnum Opus means “Great Work” and derives from the legendary alchemist search for the Philosopher’s Stone. The Philosopher’s Stone was said to be the key element needed to turn lead into gold or attain great wisdom and longevity.
The way the light strikes this stone reminded me of that fable.

Among the many amazing limestone formations inside of Luray Caverns, Virginia, is this beautiful cascade. While standing before the scene, I could not help but be put in mind of a character from one of the Star Wars movies. I don’t know about you but I see “Jabba the Hut” staring back at me- menacingly.
